Williams lose HP sponsorship deal

The Williams Formula One team are set to lose computer firm Hewlett-Packard as sponsors at the end of the season. The American firm has been the Oxfordshire-based outfit's major backer for the last five years. The news, though expected, adds to uncertainty at Williams, who are parting company with engine suppliers BMW and moving to Bridgestone tyres.

On top of that, Jenson Button is in talks to escape his contract at Williams in 2006 so he can stay at BAR. Hewlett-Packard executive vice-president and chief marketing officer Cathy Lyons said the partnership with Williams had been a success. (BBC Sport)

Frank is getting loads of bad vibes this season, first there's the Button-gate, then BMW ran out, the team this year not doing so good been over taken by Toyota and now HP jumping off the Williams wagon. It like a country music track, its bad luck and more bad luck without a break. Poor guy, hope he'll do better next season. Btw, I first heard the HP rumour from the F1 Magazine, boy, those chaps are as sharp as tacks.
