Man Utd 1-2 Blackburn

Morten Gamst Pedersen's double earned Blackburn a shock win at Old Trafford as Manchester United were left to rue a catalogue of missed chances. Pedersen gave Blackburn a first-half lead as his free-kick drifted straight into the net. Ruud van Nistelrooy levelled for United when Wayne Rooney's shot proved too hot for Blackburn keeper Brad Friedel.

But an error by Paul Scholes gifted the ball to Michael Gray who set up Pedersen to slam home the winner. In an attempt to emulate the two draws they got against United last season, Blackburn boss Mark Hughes opted for the defensive qualities offered by Pedersen over Brett Emerton. (BBC Sport)

Did someone just stab me at the back, injected a gallon of rat poison, kick me in the nuts then throw me to the lions for a light supper? Ouch! Wot is going on at ManU...what is going on with Sir Alex, wot a game to lose to Blackburn on home ground, ouch! Time to kick those millionaires to tow the line Mr. Ferguson. Not gonna win the title with pre-school football performance, and definitely not gonna win the Champions League....the euros are gonna eat you ailve for lunch and ask for seconds. I think its time for a managerial change....so, Mr Florida, please take note...start finding a new in-charge.
